David Hinckley is a guitarist, composer and music educator from Arlington, MA. He is a graduate of Berklee College of Music and has studied with Jim Campilongo, Bruce Bartlett, and Steve Walsh among others. After 20+ years working as a sideman in the Boston area and touring the country with a variety of acts his focus is now on his role as a music educator and bandleader performing his original compositions of instrumental music. Although he was raised on Classic Rock and 80's Hip Hop, as his musicianship developed he became drawn to the R&B, Soul, Jazz and Funk music of the 1960's and 70's. These sounds now inform his approach to songwriting and improvisation.

Hinckley stays busy with a full roster of private students and with his role as a Professor at Endicott College on the Northshore of Massachusetts. As a teacher David explores all genres and styles of music based on student's interests. With 20+ years of teaching experience his bag of tricks is deep and he holds an impressive knowledge of musical styles. No matter the students age David knows all the ways to help them achieve their guitar playing goals.
